“Sculpture by the sea” is the largest open-air sculpture exposition
in the world, from 18th October until 4th November 2016
in Sydney, Australia. A similar event was held for the first time in 1997. Now
for the 16th year in succession, over 100 sculptures by artists from
around the world will be staged on the spectacular Bondi to Tamarama coastal
walk. This free to the public exhibition is enjoyed by 400 – 500,000 visitors
every year, according to the organisers.
Last week I wrote a letter
to the minister and colleague Vezhdi Rashidov suggesting him that we should try
to restore the open-air Triennial of Sculpture and Decorative Arts. Still
waiting for his response.
